Hong Kong's beaches
clean and pristine |
| |
The shorelines of
Hong Kong are looking clean and pristine thanks, in part, to Cyberport staff who
participated on October 18 in the International Coastal Cleanup Challenge, an
annual global activity under the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal
Cleanup.
As an environmentally conscious community, Cyberport has, for years, been an
avid supporter of similar events through both participation and sponsorship.
Events like "Earth Day at Cyberport", held in April 2008, is an example of how
Cyberport raised public concern on environmental sustainability.

Students unleash
creativity at Innovation Tournament |
|
|
|
 |
The Innovation
Tournament, a local initiative under Stanford University's Global Innovation
Tournament, has propelled young talents to the fore, encouraging them to push
the envelope on innovation and creativity by using an assigned simple everyday
object.
The competition, organized by Chinese University's Centre of Entrepreneurship,
and co-organized and sponsored by Cyberport, posed the same challenge and ran in
the same format as the Global Innovation Tournament though judging and prizing
was administered locally. |

"TIFFCOM2008 ~
Asia-Pacific Entertainment Market" exhibition at Tokyo's Roppongi Academy Hills.
The event, now in its fifth year, is an ideal opportunity for Cyberport's
start-up companies to enter the world market, by promoting their products and
meeting potential business partners.
The three-day exhibition, which kicked off on October 22, also gave the
IncuTrain Centre a platform on which to build its reputation beyond Hong Kong
and China.
