Celebrate Chinese New Year with a spectacular showcase of frameless lanterns

Celebrate this Chinese New Year in culture and style with the launch of "Frameless Lanterns Exhibition at Cyberport", a Cyberport initiative showcasing frameless lanterns, a long forgotten folk art from the Tang dynasty.

The frameless lantern display, to be housed in a setting resembling traditional Chinese palaces, pavilions and gardens in the ancient times, will run until February 9, at the Ocean View Court of The Arcade, Cyberport from 10am to 10pm every day.

A not-to-be-missed affair, which will kick off on January 15, the event promises to make this Chinese New Year extra special with the exhibition of 40 recreated Tang lanterns in public for the very first time in Hong Kong.  Acclaimed Chinese artisan Li Xiang Man has recreated these lanterns based on the recovered models.
