  Hong Kong, New Zealand to collaborate on digital entertainment creative business
 
The city has forged a closer relationship with New Zealand with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on digital entertainment creative business collaboration at Cyberport on March 23.

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Hong Kong Cyberport, Internet Professional Association (iProA), the Wellington City Council and the New Zealand Institute of Screen Innovation, to further encourage collaboration in the creative industry.

Microsoft Bizpark Creativity Center opens at
Cyberport
   
Cyberport marked a new chapter on March 9 with the opening of the Hong Kong Microsoft Bizpark Creativity Center (MBCC) at the Cyberport IncuTrain Centre.

The MBCC, one of Microsoft's global initiatives to support start-up companies in the digital entertainment and digital creative lifestyle content development industry with the necessary software and facilities needed to build their business, introduces an infrastructure of support services that will nurture the strong and self sustaining development of the described industry.

District Cyber Centres pioneer to help less privileged
   
Cyberport has become one of three allied organizations to lead the Pilot Scheme on District Cyber Centres, an inclusive digital initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide by making accessible information and communication technology, internet services, training and technical support, to low income and disadvantaged members of the community.
