Hong Kong Youth 3D Animation Competition

Objectives

• To provide an opportunity for the younger generation to showcase their talent and develop their potential in innovation, technology and design through the promotion of 3D animation technology.

• To enhance awareness in the community of the importance in creative education and creative industries.

About the Programme

There are six divisions: Primary Division, Secondary Division I (3D still image), Secondary Division II (1 Minute Animation), Secondary Division III (3 Minute Animation), Tertiary Institution Division I (3-Minute Animation) and Tertiary Institution Division II (Stereoscopic 3D Animation). For the Primary Division (must be primary students at the time of submission) and Secondary Division I (must be secondary students at the time of submission), students compete on an individual basis. For the Secondary Divisions II & III, students (must be secondary students at the time of submission) compete on an individual basis or in teams of 2 to 4 students. For Tertiary Institution Division I & II, students (must be full time tertiary students at the time of submitting the entry form) compete on individual basis or in teams of 2 to 4 students. Students of the same team can come from different years. Registrants are required to have experience in operating 3D software or participation in relevant 3D animation competition.

The Programme 2014-2015

The competition this year is themed "My Ideal Home". Students are invited to share or create their own definition of an Ideal Home through this Competition by using 3D Animation.
