The Southern District Council has collaborated with Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation to organise a two-day “Go Fly a Kite @ Cyberport” Kite Flying Community Art Event on 13-14 October at Cyberport to promote the fun of kite flying.

The event on 13 October will feature a series of FREE kite making workshops. Led by the visiting kite flying teams from Japan, India and China, you can learn kite making skills, assembling of a kite using bamboo, paper and string, or see demonstrations of various traditional decorating styles and 3D bamboo kite making. Workshops are suitable for kids from different ages and adults. (Limited seats. Prior registration needed)

On 14 October, renowned international teams including Weifang from Mainland China, Shirone Giant Kite Battle Association from Japan, and Team Mangalore from India will perform kite flying by the magnificent harbor view of Cyberport.  Public can also try kite flying on the spot!
