  • “Praise by Hand” Campaign Exhibition
    30-11-2012 to 09-12-2012

In recent years, Hong Kong seems to be turning into a society where its people are only capable of complaining but not appreciating. When we are having such a difficult time to be appreciated, hearing impaired people will have an even more difficult time in getting praises. In respond to this, Silence (www.silence.org.hk), a voluntary group, and Praisage (www.praisage.com), the world’s first online platform of praise, launch the “Praise by Hand” campaign. The campaign will invite all primary school students in Hong Kong to participate and to make ‘thumb up’ hand waxes that symbolize appreciation. The objective is to promote the spirit of social inclusion and the culture of praise to our next generation. All the hand waxes collected will be put together to form a ‘sign language of praise’ for open exhibition (Exhibition at Cyberport: 30 November-9 December 2012).
