International Conference on Information Security Standards
Date: 11-04-2014
Time: 14:30 - 17:00
Venue: Function Rooms, Level 3, Core E, Cyberport 3

Standardised security techniques are becoming a core element in e-business, e-government and other online activities. SC 27, a subcommittee under ISO/IEC JTC 1, develops standards for the protection of information and ICT including generic methods, techniques and guidelines to address both security and privacy aspects. In October 2013, SC 27 released an updated version of the international standard framework for information security, ISO 27001 and 27002. Now here is a good opportunity of meeting experts of SC 27 face to face and learn more about the information security standards.

The purpose of the  International Conference on Information Security Standards is to share the latest developments and exchange ideas and views regarding SC27 standards to the issue of securing cyber-world applications, services and technology. There will be a presentation updating the latest development of Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards, including the ISO 27001 and 27002 standards. Through the discussion panels, interaction with the panelists will lead to enhancing audience’s understanding on security techniques on cyber security and protection of data and privacy.

Whether you are a CIO, CISO, IT security practitioner, IT solution provider, certification body or an organisation wishing to acquire information security certifications, the International Conference on Information Security Standards is an event not to be missed.
