Ever wondered how it feels like to be an entrepreneur?
Join us on February 28 2015 (Sat) and March 8 2015 (Sun) at Cyberport.
BSA|The Software Alliance, jointly with Intellectual Property Department, Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department and Cyberport, challenge you to create your own tech startup in 168 hours' time!
BSA Startup Challenge 168 adopts a simple model: any university student in Hong Kong is welcome to pitch his/her startup idea (though we have limited pitching time, so make sure you sign up for the pitch battle early on Day 1!). 10 teams of 8 will be formed. After that, each team will have 1 WEEK'S TIME, i.e. 168 hours, to build their startup prototype. It can be in the form of a beta app, a beta website, some graphics, or as simple as powerpoint slides. Anything will do as long as you can effectively demonstrate why your startup idea stands out from the rest!
Why you cannot miss this Challenge?
BSA Startup Challenge 168 is probably the most breathtaking and exciting startup event designed for university students in Hong Kong!
Not only will you meet top startup entrepreneurs, tech experts, and venture capitalists in Hong Kong, you will also meet around 80 students who share the same entrepreneurial spirit as you do. You will probably find your co-founder, meet someone interesting, or learn new skills that you cannot learn in traditional classroom learning. Top teams will win a total of $60,000 seeding fund and free software resources.
BSA Startup Challenge 168 is cool, dynamic and most importantly fun! Free drinks, free buffet, free transportaton are provided! We want you to focus your brainpower on creating the NEXT BIG THING, and we will take care of the rest.
Each participant will receive one year's subscription of Microsoft Office 365 Home (valued at HKD780).
