An important part of this process of building a technology-
driven and entrepreneurial ecosystem is to listen to members
of the Cyberport community as well as the community at large
and continue to refine our approach and initiatives accordingly.
Many of our community members believe more creative and
innovative technology professionals can help Hong Kong to
unleash its potential. In response, we have sought to inspire the
next generation with initiatives that increase awareness
amongst children in technology, encourage technology
education and develop youth creativity in areas such as coding,
gaming and mobile application development.
The growth of our community in the last year is evidence that
Cyberport’s efforts are working. I am delighted to see
significant progress in achieving the targets and goals outlined
in our second three-year strategic plan, which was rolled out in
the year under review. We will continue to pursue our public
mission through our three giant leaps hand-in-hand with our
community members, industry partners and other potential
organisations who share Cyberport’s vision.
Acknowledgments
None of the accomplishments of the past year are the work of a
single person, but the result of a concerted effort by the entire
Cyberport organisation and community. Board members have
selflessly shared their wisdom and experience. Cyberport’s
management and staff have worked hard with great dedication
to fulfill our public mission. The government of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region and the technology industry
have been integral in the successes of Cyberport during the last
year through their support and encouragement.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere
appreciation for the support and long-term working rapport you
have shared with me throughout my six-year tenure as the
Chairman of Cyberport. I truly value the advice, inputs and
insight you have given to the company. All the accomplishments
and success are due to the credit of every one of you. It is with
great gratitude and mixed emotions that I present this last
Chairman’s Statement.

建設以科技為本的創業生態系統之鑰，就是聆
聽數碼港社區成員以及社會各界的意見，並不
斷優化我們的方法和計劃。數碼港大家庭內不
少成員相信，香港需要更多有創意和創新思維
的科技人才，以助香港充份發揮潛能。為此，
我們推出了多個項目，加深青少年的科技知
識，推廣科技教育，並啟發新一代在發展編
程、數碼遊戲和流動應用程式等方面的創意。
數碼港社區成員於過去一年的增長足證我們的
努力行之有效。我們於回顧年度剛開展的第二
個三年策略計劃訂下了一系列目標，今天我們
正朝著這些目標不斷向前，屢創佳績，這點令
我尤其鼓舞。未來，我們將繼續透過我們的實
現願景三部曲履行公眾使命，並與數碼港各社
區成員、業界夥伴以及其他理念一致的機構，
攜手實踐我們的願景。

我們過去一年來創出的成就，實有賴數碼港整
個機構上下一心以及數碼港社區成員的努力。
數碼港的董事局成員，無私獻出他們的寶貴經
驗和智慧；此外，數碼港管理層和全體員工專
心致志奮力履行數碼港的公眾使命。我亦要在
此衷心感謝香港特別行政區政府及科技界過去
一年來對數碼港的支持和勉勵。
此乃本人任內發表的最後一份「主席的話」，感
激之餘，難免百感交集。本人就任數碼港主席
六年以來，一直得到各界鼎力支持，同僚之間
和衷共濟，為數碼港提供寶貴的意見，獨到的
見解和不懈的努力；數碼港今日取得的成就，
都是您們每一位辛勤耕耘的成果，本人謹此深
表謝意。
