Details: | Here’s your chance to transform a budding business idea into a commercial venture! Cyberport’s Guangdong-Hong Kong ICT Young Entrepreneurship Programme (GD-HK ICT YEP) 2015 is accepting Programme Applications until 5pm, 6 November 2015. “This is a great opportunity for young talent to develop their creativity in the ICT sector as ten of the selected projects will be awarded a cash grant in each HK$100,000,” said Mark Clift, COO of Cyberport. Now in its fourth year, the scheme nurtures partnership between Hong Kong and Guangdong ICT young talents through a business skills and entrepreneurial training workshop, facilitates cross-border cultural understanding and boosts start-ups’ entry into the international market. Qualified applicants from Programme Application participating in the three-day boot camp in late November will learn about business model generation, user research and market landscape assessment technique among other things. Eventually, each joint Guangdong-Hong Kong team will submit Joint CCMF Application for fund assessment by December 2015. Eligible applicants must be aged between 18-30 at the time of the programme application deadline. They must also be current students or graduates of a registered post-secondary education institute in Hong Kong or the region. Graduates of the Guangdong-Hong Kong ICT Young Entreprenurship scheme can also apply to the Cyberport Incubation Programme. To date, around 20% cross-border scheme CCMF grantees have been admitted on to the incubation programme. The Guangdong – Hong Kong ICT Young Entrepreneur Programme (GD-HK ICT YEP) is organised by the Cyberport and Guangdong Software Industry Association (GDSIA). Action now!
