MommyDaddyMe goes from Cyberport to 500 million users worldwide ![]() Taking borders away and making it possible for all children to learn in a community environment is what MommyDaddyMe is all about. The platform connects children and kids and links them in a safe way to cultures and geographies across the world via educational technology (EdTech). The site has now reached extensive markets like Mainland China, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines, and is now eyeing toward the United States and Europe.
The idea for the site came from a moment of tragedy, with the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in the United States, when Co-Founders Leslie Wang and Javed Rahman wanted to create a safe online space for learning for their daughter Safiya and millions of other children. Accounts need to be verified by parents, after which kids can learn languages, coding, math and other skills, while showing off their own talents as well.
Beginning in 2016, this Cyberport Smart-Space company pioneers social connectivity to optimise delivery of education. It promotes family collaboration, safe online environment and holistic development of children, without the constraint of physical borders.
The company does this with the special sauce of EdTech, with tech tools that include the Taccarino-Leonard Success Factor Assessment, a US-patented psychometric assessment to discover children’s preferences, strengths, potential, and areas for improvement; online streaming of classes including English, Chinese, Kids Coding, and youth leadership training incorporating top speakers and experts from the United States; an app that aggregates learning resources in one place; and an additional aggregator of children-related businesses, including summer camps, training centres, sports activities, birthday parties, and travel destinations.
A new development for MommyDaddyMe.com has been partnering with China Taiping, one of the largest and most prestigious financial groups in China. The client portal has just been released and is now available for 70 million clients across Taiping’s four subsidiaries, and the dream all started at Cyberport.
“We are very proud to be a Cyberport-based company. Our out-of-town friends and clients visited here have great things to say about the Cyberport infrastructure,” said by Leslie Wang, COO of MommyDaddyMe.
CEO of MommyDaddyMe Javed Rahman said, “It is our ambition to be known as one of the most significant company dedicated to children’s development in the world. We will always be proud to be associated to Cyberport and its great people we have had the opportunity to work with.”
