Cyberport organised UK FinTech delegation led by the Financial Secretary ![]() In late October, Cyberport organised a FinTech delegation to London to promote collaboration and foster connection and partnership between the two leading FinTech hubs. The delegation was led by the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, who was joined by 15 FinTech start-ups and companies from the Cyberport community.
Delegates visited the Accenture FinTech Innovation Hub to learn about the latest FinTech trends in the UK. They also visited Dun and Bradstreet, a data and analytics company; Level 39, Innovate Finance, KPMG, other renowned banks, and cohort of FinTech innovators, to gain better understanding of the topical FinTech issues in the UK, such as London’s open banking push, the London VC landscape, and running a FinTech business in London.
The 15 leading start-up companies from Cyberport, which specialise in RegTech, blockchain, wealth management, cross-border payments, and AI, also explored what it takes to enter the UK market and took the opportunity to line up meetings to discuss potential partnerships with the partners met during the trip. The delegates also joined a roundtable event to network with London’s FinTech stakeholders, such as the Department for International Trade, and to promote the FinTech opportunities in Hong Kong.
