Hex Trust raised US$88M Series B to scale digital asset custody business

Cyberport start-up Hex Trust, Asia’s leading digital asset custodian, has closed its Series B funding round of US$88 million.
The funding round was co-led by Animoca Brands, a Cyberport unicorn, and Liberty City Ventures. Participants in the round included Ripple, Terra, Morgan Creek, Primavera Venture Partners, Sino Global Capital, Adrian Cheng (CEO of New World Development) among others, along with several blockchain companies.
The funding will be used to scale to Europe and the Middle East, obtain additional licenses, continue the development and innovation of Hex Safe™, and further enhance business services such as financing and structured solutions.
