Gusto Collective, a BrandTech company from Cyberport that specialises in Web3 and immersive marketing services, has raised US$11 million in a seed-plus financing round led by Animoca Brands and Gaw Capital, bringing its cumulative capital raised to US$23 million.
The company was founded in 2020 by veterans of the advertising and branding world. It maintains four specialisms: Web3 marketing services, an AR experience platform, a metahuman platform, and luxury marketing services. Its mission is to assist brands in connecting with franchises and customers in fast-growing Asian markets, as well as in the “emerging worlds” of Web3 and the metaverse.
Since its inception, Gusto Collective has worked with clients such as CSL on 5G AR experiences, Phillips Auctioneers on the world's first real-time generative data art based on auction data, and Harbour City on Pixar Fest’s AR experiences.
According to Aaron Lau, Founder and CEO, the company has been creating engaging content and experiences using the latest AR, VR, and XR technologies. It also provides services to help brands tell their stories and build relationships in the metaverse. Gusto Collective will use the new funds to expand into other fast-growing Asian markets, grow its Web3 services and products, and increase recurring-revenue product development.
Gusto Collective employs around 200 people full-time. Its Gusto Luxe focuses on the luxury and premium sectors, while Gusto Labs creates products in AR, VR, and other areas.
BlackPine, YCI Limited, and several existing shareholders, including ClearVue Partners, also participated in the over-subscribed round.
