The long-awaited Internet Economy Summit will relaunch as the Digital Economy Summit (DES) on 13-14 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  The two-day summit is packed with thought-provoking insights, forward-thinking perspectives, and actionable ideas – carrying on the event’s legacy as Asia’s leading innovation and technology event, expecting over 4,000 audiences from 40+ countries.
 

With the theme “Emerging with Resilience: Fostering a Smarter Future”, more than 80 heavyweight global speakers will dissect the powers and values of smart city technologies as well as their potential to drive digital economy growth sustainably and inclusively.
 

Officiating guests of the Summit from the government are Mr John Lee, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Mr Paul Chan, Financial Secretary; Prof Dong Sun, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry; directorate from Cyberspace Administration of China.

The summit will feature six thematic forums and a rich programme covering more than 35 hottest topics, including:

Smart City Forum – key directions and pillars for advancing smart city development in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

FinTech Forum – harnessing disruptive financial innovation in particular Web3 and virtual asset space.

New Industrialisation Forum – Illuminating strategies for building a more people-oriented, smarter industry.

Smart Mobility Forum – how 5G help support smart transportation applications to provide safer, more efficient travel experience.
