Cyberport led over 25 Cyberport startups to participate in the four-day exhibition (12-15 April) InnoEX, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and co-organised by the government of the Hong Kong SAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, as a concurrent event of Digital Economy Summit 2023. Under the theme of “Connecting the World with Innovations for Better Living”, InnoEX attracted over 2,600 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions such as Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Cyberport booth featured 13 smart living start-ups, and approximately 20 startups participated in the "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion" set up by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and other exhibition areas. The participating startups span many clusters of smart cities, including HealthTech, Smart Building and E-commerce etc., introducing the diverse smart city solutions to innovators in the technology industry.
In recent years, the government has actively promoted the development of innovation and technology and smart cities, launching the Innovation and Technology Blueprint and the Smart City Blueprint. As Hong Kong's innovation and technology incubation base, the Cyberport community now has more than 1,900 startups and companies and has nurtured many outstanding startups. The Smart Living Cluster is also the largest cluster in the Cyberport community, with approximately 770 companies covering Smart Mobility, RetailTech, EdTech, Robotics/IoT, E-commerce, HealthTech, Environmental Tech and more.
