Carrying the theme “Kickstart Your Tech Career”, this year’s two-day Career Fair featured nearly 1,500 I&T job openings in over 150 enterprises and start-ups. More than 50 career forum sessions, recruitment seminars and CV clinic sessions were organised during the Career Fair to share the latest industry trends and serve as a guiding light for job seekers.
In his opening remarks, Simon Chan, Chairman of Cyberport, stated that the Career Fair is a signature annual event of the Cyberport Academy. The fair is also an effective platform in matching tech companies seeking talent with young individuals eager to join the I&T sector. “Additionally, the Career Fair is an excellent springboard for jobseekers of all academic and professional backgrounds to explore the vast realm of the I&T arena for in-demand and rewarding career opportunities, such as Web3, blockchain, NFT, STEAM education, and digital art,” he added.
Lillian Cheong, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, said, “The ‘Hong Kong I&T Development Blueprint’ promulgated last year also established ‘to enlarge the I&T talent pool to create strong impetus for growth’ as one of the four broad development directions, with a view to transforming Hong Kong into an international talent hub. I call on young people to seize the opportunity and join us to work hand in hand with us in developing Hong Kong into an international I&T centre.”
Further job openings and internship opportunities can be found on Cyberport’s one-stop recruitment platform, iTalent, where job seekers can contact employers directly using messages and video calls.
