Cyberport ushers in the Year of the Dragon with festivities, innovation, and a focus on wellness

⋯⋯⋯⋯

As the lunar calendar heralded the Year of the Dragon, Cyberport was abuzz with the exuberance of traditional lion dances and collective cheers for health and innovation.

On the eve of the Year of the Dragon, the Cyberport Community Connect’s (C³) “C³ Roar to Year of the Dragon: 2024 CNY Celebration” brought community members together in a convivial setting full of laughter and shared delights. Participants joined in activities such as calligraphy workshops, claw machine games, and a whimsical selfie booth, while wine-lovers and food enthusiasts sampled a variety of wines and tasty treats.

Cyberport also organised a lively lion dance to ring in the new year with joy and good luck. After Board Member Michael Leung and CEO Peter Yan performed the traditional eye-dotting ceremony, three lion dance troupes paraded through campus to deliver the new year blessings and wish everyone a prosperous Year of the Dragon.

No celebration would be complete without a toast to good health, and for the Cyberport community, the success of their innovative endeavours. The Cyberport office arranged an Onsite Wellness Day, inviting the Bowtie team to provide body composition analysis and health consultations by doctors. The community’s creative spirit was also acknowledged with the Cyberport Creativity Competence Awards (C3A), which recognised the innovative ideas of Cyberport employees. The awards served to motivate the staff to continue unleashing their creativity and imagination, boosting work efficiency while contributing to societal betterment.

In line with the theme of wellness, the latest instalment of the C³’s Start-ups Roadshow highlighted innovative solutions from eight start-ups. Under the banner “Health & Wellness: Integrating Wellbeing with Innovation”, ATTA Technologies, BUEARN, Filix Medtech, NISAN INTERIOR, One Balance, OODLES, Qraftie.com, and TURN NETWORK displayed their products and services and engaged the community with live demonstrations. The event also provided an opportunity for these start-ups to gather constructive feedback and network with like-minded innovators and potential customers.
