Cyberport and the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) joined forces in April last year to launch an 18-month proof-of-concept (PoC) programme. The PoC programme has been running for more than half, and in this March, Cyberport and HKHS reviewed the programme mid-term result at the "Smart-Space PropTech" co-working studio in Fanling, together with start-up companies.
13 Cyberport community members, representing the first cohort of the programme, showcased Hong Kong’s potential as a green and smart city. It featured a wide array of innovative solutions, encompassing smart buildings, property management, smart homes, construction technology, green technology.
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Housing Society, Cyberport have selected 13 start-ups from the jointly organised PoC programme to be the first tenants, helping them complete the PoC process with subsidies and a chance to pioneer their innovative solutions at HKHS properties to demonstrate I&T effectiveness and encourage extensive technology adoption among industry. Cyberport and HKHS will continue to work closely to assemblemore start-ups that specialise in such technology areas as smart building, property management, smart home, construction technology and green technology, to steer at full steam the development of the I&T ecosystem and smart city in the Northern Metropolis.
Stay tuned for the next cohort of PropTech Proof-of-Concept Programme in Q3 2024.
