Cyberport ecosystem delivers Hong Kong’s first listed GPU company |
Cyberport community company Biren Technology made its debut on the Hong Kong stock market on 2 January, 2026, becoming the city’s first listed GPU company and marking a milestone for the local intelligent computing sector.
One of the first batch of key enterprises introduced by the HKSAR Government, Biren Technology raised HK$5.583 billion in a main board listing on Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. Its market capitalisation exceeded HK$80 billion, making it the largest IPO by fundraising size since the introduction of Chapter 18C, the listing regime designed for specialist technology companies.
The listing highlights Hong Kong’s role as a gateway for mainland technology firms seeking access to international capital. Proceeds will be used to support Biren Technology’s development of intelligent computing hardware, upgrades to its software platforms and the commercialisation of intelligent computing solutions.
Biren Technology has been based at Cyberport since 2023, where it has worked with artificial intelligence companies and research institutions through Cyberport’s global innovation ecosystem.
Founded in 2019, the China-based company is a provider of general-purpose intelligent computing solutions, with independently developed GPU products at its core. It focuses on original core architecture development and pioneered chiplet-based high-computing-power chips, in support of China’s artificial intelligence industry.
Cyberport continues to position itself as Hong Kong’s digital technology hub and an artificial intelligence accelerator. The campus brings together more than 500 start-ups focused on artificial intelligence and big data, alongside leading AI enterprises.
Including Biren Technology, Cyberport is now home to 16 listed companies and eight unicorns, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to Hong Kong’s emergence as an international innovation and artificial intelligence hub.
