Cyberport hosts first round of BitwiseHacks FinTech Hackathon Series
Cyberport co-organised with BitwiseHacks the first round of BitwiseHacks FinTech Hackathon Series in mid-September.
First round of the 24-hour FinTech-themed hackathon challenged developers, designers and entrepreneurs to develop their code, post on the web platform and prepare for a three-minute pitch session including a live demonstration and Q&A input. And the winning team, Meet Julie’s “chatbot,” which helps to efficiently manage finances with the aim of gaining financial independence.
Participants had the chance to compete for ample prizes including gaining interview opportunity to the Cyberport Incubation Programme or Cyberport Creative Micro Fund, network with corporate and start-up executives and access to interview opportunities. Mentors were also on board to assist with the projects. What’s more, participants could also take part in the official launch of the BitwiseHacks web platform.
“This was a tremendously rewarding opportunity for participants to flex their coding potential and get feedback from industry experts. We look forward to hosting the second round of the hackathon and helping to scout for more talents,” said Terence Leung, Manager of Cyberport Youth Team.
Those who would like to challenge themselves in this FinTech hackathon should not miss the next round on November 12 & 13 at Cyberport. For details, visit here.
