Our vision at Cyberport is to become the preeminent ICT hub in
the Asia-Pacific region and the leading force driving local
economic growth in the ICT sector. During the review period,
we succeeded in implementing a number of initiatives that fully
reflect this vision.
Through the years, our teams at Cyberport have met countless
ICT talents with a strong passion for developing brilliant ideas
and launching them in the market. Some of their ideas have
addressed existing problems, some have brought new concepts
to light and others have made our lives more productive,
pleasurable and convenient.
We fully share this passion. At Cyberport, we offer one of the
most comprehensive series of programmes for ICT start-ups in
the region advocating the growth of the ICT industry. Through
the programmes we provide, we help young ICT talents give life
to their visionary ideas and grow as professionals, while
promoting the widespread adoption of ICT in society. Our
ultimate goal in this is to solidify Hong Kong’s reputation as a
digital hub in the region, which in turn will attract more ICT
players to the industry and Hong Kong, while spurring further
innovation and synergy that will benefit us all.
ICT Adoption and Youth Empowerment
At Cyberport, we feel strongly about the development of young
ICT talents. We understand their needs, goals and aspirations
as we ourselves were young once. We also understand what
they require to grow and mature as professionals.
During the review period, we organised several programmes
with the objective of making careers in ICT more attractive to
students, giving young people opportunities to gain real-world
work experience and engaging them in activities that sparked
their creativity. One example, our year-long campaign in
partnership with the Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and
Computer Society, offered workshops, seminars, and
competitions targeting secondary school students. We also
held a series of home-grown contests for app and game
developers as well as animation and coding competitions for
children and teens that attracted more than 1,800 participants
— an increase of more than 50% from the year before.

人才刻不容緩。我作
為過來人，深切了解年青人的需要、目標和訴
求，亦清楚他們由初出茅廬至步向專業人士期
間的發展需要。
我們於回顧期間策劃的多項計劃，均旨在提高
學生對投身
ICT
行業的興趣，讓年青人有機會
從實際工作中汲取經驗，以及透過各項活動激
發他們的創意。其中一個例子是我們與香港聯
校電子及電腦學會合辦的全年計劃，提供中學
生工作坊、研討會和比賽。我們亦舉辦連串為
本港應用程式和遊戲開發商而設的本地比賽，
以及為兒童和青少年而設的程式設計比賽，吸
引逾

名參賽者，較去年增加超過
