CEO Message

It is a well-known fact that technology is an integral part of the lives of young people.

Seeing young people tapping on their phones and mobile device has become a default

backdrop in almost every metropolitan city in the world. Many of you may ask, ‘our

young people are already a tech-savvy bunch, why do they need to learnmore?’

Having worked with many young people via Cyberport programmes and events, I

thoroughly understand deep knowledge is the basis of all innovations. For Hong Kong

to advance and continue to be a global innovation and technology hub, we needmore

innovators, not merely consumers and operators. Therefore, we need to inspire

our next generation, equip them with digital tech knowledge and above all, real-life

experience, so that they will know better how to apply their knowledge effectively. It is

exactly this belief led to the beginning of our first digital tech internship programme in

2011.

With concerted effort from like-minded industry leaders around the world, trust

from participants and support from the Cyberport community, we have been able

to expand the Cyberport Digital Tech Internship Programme year-after-year in

magnitude and depth. Positive feedback from students and employers through

the years and having witnessed many young people flourished into digital tech

innovators, encouraged us to grow this programme continuously.

In this brochure, we will share with you an overview of the journey of Cyberport Digital

Tech Internship Programme since 2011 and details of each programme with genuine

feedback from participants as well as employers. We sincerely invite you to be part of

this journey and contribute to the sustainable development of the digital tech industry.
