Cyberport Internship Programme

What is Cyberport Internship Programme?

We offer students to gain valuable experience and training during the summer/spring vacation or for a longer period (e.g. 12 months) as part of their curriculum requirement.  Each selected candidate will be assigned a specific project and a mentor.  Each project will have well defined deliverables, providing students with practical experience and learning objectives.


To join us, you need to have:

  • A valid permit to work in Hong Kong SAR
  • A bachelor or advanced degree studentship continuing a full-time university degree course after the internship
  • Good academic results with a GPA of 3.0 or above, or equivalent
  • University endorsement that the internship programme is a part of the curriculum
  • Good communication skills
  • A good team player
  • Available full-time during the internship period

Internship: Revitalizing Cyberport Image Project (Ref:CIP14/MKG/SD01)

Degree or higher diploma in Graphic, Multimedia Design related disciplines

Project Description:

  • The project will require the student to make use of his/ her talent in design to revitalize Cyberport image at various corporate communication channels, such as website, Facebook, e-newsletter, generic marketing collaterals, and souvenirs,etc.
  • The student will get trained in marketing sense and also event marketing through engaging in different marketing in-house tasks and external activities
  • The student will be responsible for preparing graphic design & artwork production for printing, advertising and promotional purpose

Project Deliverables :

  • Enhanced visual elements for online / digital channels, e.g. website, Facebook,e-newsletter,etc.
  • Enhanced visual elements for corporate collaterals, e.g. event posters, leaflets, presentation slides, etc.
  • Assistance in marketing events / ad-hoc projects

Skills Requirement:

  • Hands on experience on using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Flash, Dreamweaver
  • Good at graphic design with creativity and art sense
  • Basic knowledge of website programming languages such as HTML, PHP is an advantage
  • Film shooting & editing is a plus
  • Photo-taking skills is a plus
  • Appreciate team work and willing to work hard

Internship: Cyberport Entrepreneurship Programmes (Ref:CIP14/EC/SD02)

The Entrepreneurship Centre was first established in 2005 under the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) to support the development of start-up companies/SMEs in digital entertainment and creative lifestyle industries. Riding on its success, Cyberport has decided to support the Incubation Programme with its own funding starting from February 2012.  The new Incubation Programme aims to support the development of the Hong Kong ICT industry.  The programme provides incubatees with access to rent-free office space, advanced ICT facilities and resources, support in business development, financing and hiring of graduate interns, as well as entrepreneurship and technology training for a period of up to two years.

 The Entrepreneurship Centre also runs the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) Scheme.  CCMF seeks to spark creativity and innovation in ICT industries by providing seed funding of HK$100,000 for concept and prototype development in a 6-month project period.

Project Description:

  • The Entrepreneurship Centre (EC) Incubation Programme and Cyberport Creative Micro Fund nurture and strengthen Information and Communications Technology (ICT) entrepreneurs and start-ups by offering financial assistance, support and professional services of all kind in different stages of enterprise development.
  • The intern student will support promotion, recruitment and satisfaction research of the programmes in view of increased number of admission.  They will also provide front desk and customer service support to incubatees and CCMF grantees.

Project Deliverables :

  • To better understand the HK ICT start-up development and supporting programmes
  • To learn the skills in communications, customer service and marketing
  • To learn the research techniques that will benefit to the university projects

Skills Requirement:

  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Self-initiative, creative and detail-oriented
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, plus adaptability to work with start-up companies
  • Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing

The Cyberport Technology Centre is dedicated to bringing cutting-edge industry tools and knowledge to Hong Kong in order to develop a diversified technology-oriented local industry with a global outlook and network.  Since its inception in 2003, the Technology Centre (formerly the Digital Media Centre) has supported local businesses through the investment of high-end production equipment, as well as the production of videos, films, animations and game content for online platforms.

With the rapid development of ICT, the Centre will further enhance its role in the adoption of state-of-the-art technology in the streams of digital entertainment, social media, cloud computing and mobility solution to better help Hong Kong ICT start-ups capture growing opportunities in these four areas.

Internship: Event Management (Ref:CIP14/CC/SD07)

Collaboration Centre aims to facilitate partnerships and alliances between Hong Kong's ICT SMEs and global enterprises to achieve mutual success.  It provides business support to ICT SMEs in Hong Kong to enable them to tap into the overseas and mainland China markets.  It promotes the exchange of technology and talent between Hong Kong and worldwide ICT enterprises to fuel the growth of the ICT industry in Hong Kong.  A channel is established through which overseas and PRC-headquartered ICT enterprises can easily access Cyberport in Hong Kong.
