In recent years, the uptake of integrating ESG into business practices has been on the rise, as more institutions consider the correlation between responsible investing and better returns. However, the growth of emerging markets in Asia has also meant that investors tend to take a shorter-term view on investments. Despite this, there is a growing understanding across investors and fund managers in Asia, that adopting ESG policies within portfolios can be financially beneficial in the long run and can also help reduce operational and reputational risks.
In light of this, the annual AVCJ ESG Forum returns for the fourth year to provide an educational platform for industry practitioners. Co-hosted by AVCJ and the UNPRI, the forum aims to help GPs discover trends and best practices when it comes to developing and implementing an ESG framework, and to continue the discussion on what is likely to be a matter of increasing importance in the region.
