Cyberport's symposium gives edge to cloud computing |
Being one of the seven strategic emerging
industries in Mainland China and a mainstream IT development, cloud computing
will be playing a critical role in shaping the country's industrial upgrade and
economic restructure. The development of concrete industry standardization is,
however, still in its infancy, and there is still much to be desired.
Addressing the needs for common framework and platforms in line with
international standards can facilitate cloud computing's healthy, rapid, and
orderly development. Unified standards and holistic regulations will allow
industry players to interconnect, integrate, and enhance their products,
services or applications with cost effective solutions, and place them at the

standardization and regulations.
Cyberport, together with OGCIO, takes the lead to organize the "Next Generation
Information Technology and Standard Symposium" held on 30 March for industry
professionals to learn and to exchange ideas. This one-day event brings together

standardization with insightful analysis on hot topics such as overall planning,
key technologies, applications and security governance. What's more, two panel

practitioners from Mainland and Hong Kong to discuss implementation strategies,
share best practices with interaction and collaboration in the arena of cloud
computing ecosystem.
