Cyberport co-hosts international science fair for students |
Some of the world's best students will gather at Cyberport this October to
participate in the Hong Kong International Science Fair (HKISF) 2012.
HKISF is an international science project competition, born from a desire to
bring the world's best science students together. Over 90 qualified
finalists from more than 20 countries are expected to attend this year’s fair
themed "Be Innovative, Be Energetic".
Participants can compete in 18 categories including engineering, earth science
and computer art, among many others. They will present their projects at
their booths to the judging panel. Cyberport has sponsored this year's Cyberport Grand Award and the Silver Award.
"We are extremely pleased to be co-organizing this great international event. The competition is not just about promoting professional excellence, it also
serves to promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation, through the
involvement of students and teachers from many different countries. We look
forward to bringing together the world’s best student scientists and seeing
their fascinating projects on display," said Mark Clift, Cyberport's COO.
Members of the public can view the competition showcase and even vote for their
favourite project.
