Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2013
Hong Kong was in the global spotlight once again at the
prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2013 (APICTA), the
international awards programme that recognise excellence in
ICT innovation in the corporate, public and academic sectors.
This year’s event was hosted by the Hong Kong Computer
Society and co-organised by Cyberport and the Hong Kong
Trade Development Council.
The briefing, judging and welcome reception for the event took
place at Cyberport over three consecutive days in November
2013. For the awards competition, 61 judges evaluated 221
entries in 17 award categories. Over 480 overseas delegates
from 13 economies attended the event, a record breaking
number for APICTA. Secondary and tertiary students from
participating economies together with Hong Kong entries
showcased their projects. We also held a welcome reception
attended by 600 industry participants. In addition to exchanging
market information and establishing business contacts, APICTA
presented a great opportunity to showcase Hong Kong ICT
excellence.
