Cyberport's weekend market makes comeback in September |
Cyberport will be kicking off its much anticipated
monthly outdoor weekend market in September with new and exciting activities
suitable for everyone in the family.
This year's theme will center around the importance of organic farming and green
living. The market itself will feature over 40 booths selling an extensive
range of goods from exotic handicrafts to locally designed creative gadgets, and
what's more, a fine array of organic vegetables and products.
Cyberport's signature event aims to offer visitors a rich blend of offerings
from art and shopping to fun and education learning opportunities. In
partnering with the Film Culture Centre, the outdoor bazaar will feature an
organic farming activity offering visitors a chance to grow their own crops in
the city. With a spending of over $800 at Cyberport or a donation amount
of $500 to Save the Children, visitors will be able to register their own plant
box and experience a crop growing cycle of 3 months.
Other programmes include an open stage allowing aspiring young performers
showcase their talent by signing up for a spot right there and then!
Those who have spent more than $500 at Cyberport or donated $300 to Save the
Children can also take part in a creative arts and crafts workshop.
Finally, sit back and relax on the podium and enjoy a great family movie or
cartoon of the day on us. Don't miss one of the city's best weekend
activities. The first four months' weekend market will be held on 22-23
September, 6-7 October, 17-18 November and 22-26 December from 11am to 7pm.
Admission is free of charge.
