Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme 2.0

Fueling Innovation, Fostering Partnerships and Accelerating the Adoption of Blockchain and Digital Asset Solutions in Hong Kong

Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme 2.0

Commissioned by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) and administered by Cyberport, the Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme 2.0 (the “Scheme”) aims to foster collaboration between technology companies and enterprises, to accelerate the development and adoption of high-impact solutions in real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation, blockchain and digital assets.

The Scheme provides development-stage funding support for technology companies to partner with enterprises (Project Sponsors) to develop and test blockchain and digital asset solutions that address real business needs. It supports innovative projects with strong demonstration value and commercial potential, with the aim of nurturing benchmark use cases and accelerating the adoption of blockchain and digital asset technologies across industry sectors in Hong Kong.

Each approved project may receive funding of up to 80% of the actual project cost, with a maximum subsidy of HK$500,000.

About the Inaugural Scheme

Cyberport launched the inaugural Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme (Inaugural Scheme) in June 2025 and was featured in the FSTB’s Policy Statement 2.0 on the Development of Digital Assets in Hong Kong. The Inaugural Scheme received more than 200 applications and among the nine admitted projects, a majority have since been commercialised.

Drawing on the experience of the inaugural Scheme, Scheme 2.0 provides funding support for technology companies and enterprises to develop and test blockchain and digital asset solutions, strengthen collaboration between various vertical industries and the technology sector, and facilitate the adoption of innovative solutions in real-world scenarios.

For details of the inaugural Scheme and its approved projects, please visit the Phase I webpage.
